Account Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Type: Full Time

Min. Experience: Mid Level

We are:

Where art starts, but that's only the beginning. We’re the movement for the liberation of creative expression. We believe that art is for everyone, and we're creating the cultural context for how it is created, discovered, and shared.

Founded in August 2000, DeviantArt is the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts. We are a platform for emerging and established artists to exhibit, promote, and share their work with an enthusiastic, art-centric community. We have over 45 million registered members and attract over 50 million unique visitors per month. Our members, known as deviants, upload thousands of pieces of original artworks every day–everything from painting and sculptures to digital art, pixel art, films, and anime.

You are:

A thoughtful and energetic individual who is eager to engage in sales & branded marketing strategies in a unique corporate setting. You’re an experienced account manager or project manager with a can-do, positive attitude. You’re flexible with the ability to shift priorities and manage last minute deadlines when there’s a little bit of chaos. In other words, you thrive in environments that change rapidly and frequently. You can successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. You have higher than average attention to detail and organization, along with strong time management skills. You’re self-motivated but still flourish in a collaborative group. You have superb problem-solving skills allowing you to quickly assess a situation, evaluate the options, draw conclusions, and exercise sound judgment.

You’re passionate about content creation, branded partnership marketing, influencer marketing, and off-site activations. You’re familiar with site monetization strategies and stay up-to-date on media trends. You have excellent verbal, written, presentation skills and interpersonal skills. Plus, you’re an effective communicator with equally effective follow-through.

If you’ve had 2+ years of experience in online account, client or project management experience–preferably in a media, entertainment, or advertising setting–that’s a big advantage.

Additional bonus points if you’re familiar with event activations or are experienced with Nielsen, DoubleClick for Advertisers/Publishers or ad serving and order management systems.

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Work with the Brand Partnerships Directors as well as other team members in marketing, creative and data to help manage the sales process, including: pre-sales support, pitch support, campaign management, and post-campaign sales & reporting.
  • Maintain the day-to-day status of branded content, digital, mobile & custom collaborations, and activations.
  • Communicate directly with Brand Partnerships Directors to ensure communication within all departments are received and addressed accurately.
  • Ensure campaigns are meeting client KPI’s and relevant brand goals, while also ensuring that all external/internal expectations & goals are met.
  • Help execute processes focused on improving client satisfaction & retention.
  • Be the lead communicator for clients and the voice of DeviantArt.
  • Manage projects, troubleshoot, and problem-solve independently.
  • Develop and manage all production schedules & assets to ensure all expectations and deadlines are met in a timely manner.
